Project Description

3 x 2500 cum/d MBR based STP at Shatti Al Qurum

This Sewage Treatment Plant is based on the revolutionary Membrane Bioreactor Technology, and is to be installed aside the existing STP at Shatti Al Qurum. The existing STP currently handles a flow of 4000 cum/d in all, although it is designed for a lesser capacity.

As the current plant is in operation for almost 20 years now, it is strongly desired to upgrade the STP by increasing its capacity within the same STP location by utilizing the available open space. The upgraded STP is being constructed in 3 streams of 2500 cum/d each. However, the existing Balancing Tank and Sludge Thickening / Dewatering System is being utilized in the new STP.

The new STP consisting of three Streams of each of 2500 cum/d capacity will be based on the Membrane based MBR Technology and the units proposed in the new plant includes:

  • Integrated Compact Pretreatment station comprising of Screen, Grit and FOG Removal
  • Anoxic Tank in Glass Fused to Steel Tank with submersible type Turbine Mixers
  • Bioreactor Tanks in Glass Fused to Steel Tank with Fine Bubble Diffused Aeration system.
  • Membrane Tanks consisting of Cassette Type Membrane Modules
  • Chlorine Disinfection using Hypochlorite dosing in Chlorine Contact Tank in Glass Fused to Steel Tank.
  • Sludge Holding tank for Sludge Storage and onward Transmission to Existing Sludge Dewatering Unit

The Tanks are being proposed in Glass fused to Steel Construction due to its ease of installation and dismantling. Also these tanks have been chosen so that in future when all the sewage flowing to the Shatti Al Qurum STP is diverted to the central STP, these three Streams of STP can be dismantled and reused as three individual STPs at other locations elsewhere in the Sultanate of Oman.

New Plant based on MBR Technology will achieve a much better quality of Treated sewage (BOD:TSS:NH3N – 5:5:3) alongwith removal of pathogens as well as meeting the Total Nitrogen requirements.

Project Description

The Sohar Industrial Port Area (SIPA) is a large industrial and port development, on the outskirts of Sohar, Sultanate of Oman. M/s Majis Industrial Services Company, SAOC has undertaken to get a Wastewater Treatment Plant constructed to treat the Sanitary Waste generated from this site.

A sewerage system complete with pumping stations has already been put in place. The New Wastewater Treatment Plant is awarded to us on Design, Build Operate basis and the scope of work includes Process Design, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentation including SCADA, to meet the requirements of the immediate development, in a predesignated land area set aside for the WWTP and its respective future developments.

Process scheme, as proposed, is in adherence with the standards for irrigation stated in standard A1 of Royal decree no. 115/2001.

This project is to be executed in three phases of 1000cum/d each, based on the occupancy of the Industrial Port Area.

The project also requires installation of an immediate Temporary Package STP which will continue to operate till such time that the Phase 1 of the permanent STP is commissioned.

The complete plant in 3 phases will consist of the following:

  • Integrated Compact Pretreatment Station comprising of Screen, Grit and Free Oil and Grease removal
  • Balancing Tank with Coarse bubble Diffused Aeration system
  • Anoxic Tank with submersible Type turbine Pumps
  • Extended Aeration System comprising of Aeration Tank having Fine Bubble diffused Aeration system, and Secondary Clarifier
  • Tertiary Treatment comprising of Chlorine disinfection in Chlorine contact tank and Filtration by Multimedia Filters

Project Description

This project comprises of Two STPs (one each for Al Aynt and Jibro) to be made as Compact Pre Fabricated Factory Built Ready To Use Biological Treatment Plant based on high efficiency compact aerobic activated sludge system using extended aeration process along with Nitrogen Removal.

The complete STP is being constructed in Factory built units suitably matching the 40 ft. standard shipping container dimensions, so that the plant can be relocated / transported with ease on Normal 40 ft Trailers from one location to the other while they are being used as temporary STPs. The steel tanks will be placed on a concrete slab.

Even the required area for the installation of blowers / pumps / chlorine contact and dosing system is part of the container plant.

Each plant is built in two 40 ft. container size units, placed side by side on the location and covered by walk way and platform for operation.

The TSE Tank of 150 m3 is also provided in Glass fused to Steel which is also easy to assemble and easy to dismantle for relocation to elsewhere.

Project Description

Golden Tulip Hotels and Resorts are coming up with a new 5 Star Rated Beach Resort cum Hotel for which we are executing the Sewerage Network and STP Project. The Hotel premises mainly comprises of 3 main areas – Chalets, Main Hotel Building and Staff Accommodation. The Sewerage Network involves about 4 km of Collection piping network, and the collected Sewage flows to 2 Nos. 100 cum/d (2 x 50cum/d Streams each) Sewage Treatment Plant having Extended Aeration System as the main Biological Treatment System, followed by Tertiary Treatment having Pressure Filters and Sludge Dewatering by Mechanical Sidebar Type Filter Press Units.

The STP after completion will comprise of the following:

  • Sewerage Collection Network with Intermediate Raw Sewage
  • Pumping
  • Raw Sewage Pumping Station to STP
  • Inlet Screening
  • Secondary Biological Treatment having Extended Aeration System comprising of Anoxic Tank with submersible mixers

Project Description

The Al Bustan Palace and Hotel Resort is under up gradation and hence all the utility services also needs to be upgraded.

The Sewage Treatment Plant which has been in operation at the Hotel is more than 20 years old, and hence the Ministry Of Tourism has awarded the Project Of STP Upgradation to us.

The STP is made in 4 Streams, so that depending upon the flow the Streams can be taken off the operation.

The STP is based on Extended Aeration system with Nitrogen Removal, followed by Tertiary Treatment comprising of Chlorine disinfection and Multi media Pressure filtration.

The final treated effluent is to be reused within the Hotel Premises for irrigation and landscaping.

The project involves step wise dismantling of Existing plant machinery and replace with the new machinery after carrying out basic refurbishment of Civil Structures.

The complete STP upon commissioning will be in 4 Streams and each Stream Comprising of the following units:

  • Balancing Tank with Coarse bubble diffused Aeration system
  • Anoxic Tank with Submersible Mixers
  • Extended Aeration system with Aeration Tank having Fine bubble Diffused Aeration system and Secondary Clarifier with internals
