Description
The existing STP had a capacity
of 2400 cum/d and was catering the requirement of the Rusayl
Industrial Area Sewage Treatment. This was made in two phases
of 1200 cum/d Capacity each. The new phase of the STP (1200
cum/d) has been constructed since one phase of 1200 cum/d
has already lived its useful life and is abandoned for use.
This new phase of STP has
a capacity of 1200 cum/d and has the unique construction
in Double Cylindrical Configuration, having the Anoxic Tank,
Aeration Tank, Sludge digester, Chlorine Contact Tank in
the outer shell and Secondary Clarifier in the Inner shell
of the Double Cylindrical Tank.
This new phase of STP is
also equipped with the Mechanical Sludge Dewatering system
comprising of the Mechanical Belt Thickener and Belt Filter
Press Unit along with high pressure feed pumps and chemical
dosing.
The upgraded STP now operates
at a capacity of 2400 cum/d and has the following treatment
units:
- Inlet Chamber along with
Inlet Screening and Grit and Grease Removal
- Balancing Tank with Coarse
Bubble Diffused Aeration System
- Anoxic Tank with Submersible
Type Mixers
- Aeration Tank with Fine
Bubble diffused Aeration System
- Central Driven Type Secondary
Clarifier
- Disinfection by Chlorine
Contact Tank
- Tertiary Treatment by
Dual Media Pressure Filters
- Sludge Dewatering by Mechanical
Belt Type Filter Press Unit
